R.N. Pillai born September 20,1934 Alleppey District was educated at the University College, Trivandrum and the Law college Kozhikode. Starting life as a College teacher, he went on to be a Station Director in All India Radio and currently practices law. In 1993, he founded Mahabodhi International Spiritual And Charitable Trust, which has now built Kerala's first Tibetan Buddhist Temple in Palai and is busy constructing a Dharma School and monastery. He has to his credit a dozen titles in Malayalam on Buddhism brought out by DC Books. HH Dalai Lama has endorsed his writings by himself writing a Foreword to one of his books. One of his three English works Life Of The Buddha was first published in the UK before Mango Classics did it. He is now at work on The 100-Story Book For The Young and writing the narration for the prestigious English video Footmarks Of The Supreme, a documentary covering all places where Lord Buddha walked.
