Anjana is a journalist and an editor at Mumbai Mirror, a leading daily. She has written seven books for children. One of these, The Talking Handkerchief received the Best International Children’s Book Award at the Sharjah Children's Reading Festival in 2015. Anjana wrote her first picture book for children in 2018. Titled The Boy with the Hole in his Head, this has been published in Hindi and English.
